Director of Eating Disorders Services
Dr. Stebbins is a Licensed Psychologist in the state of Illinois as well as Wisconsin. She earned her Bachelors degree in Psychology at California State University, San Marcos. Throughout her undergraduate educational career, Dr. Stebbins researched cerebral lateralization and how it relates to handedness in special populations, at the Salk Institute in San Diego. She later earned her MA and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, in San Diego. While completing her doctoral degree, she completed internships at the Chronic Pain Program at Sharp Memorial Hospital, Springall Academy, and Family Recovery Center. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Wisconsin Department of Corrections.
Dr. Stebbins currently utilizes Dialectical Behavioral Therapy Techniques (DBT) in addition to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment in Therapy (ACT). Dr. Stebbins has worked in a variety of clinical settings with different populations. She has experience working with families, children, adolescents, adults, couples, and groups in which she provides psychotherapy, psychoeducational and psychological evaluations. Dr. Stebbins has clinical experience treating a variety of mood and personality disorders including anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia,schizoaffective, PTSD, OCD, substance use disorders, eating disorders, and co-occurring disorders. Also, her experience includes identity development such as: self-esteem, self-acceptance, and body image. Additionally, her skills include providing services for self-harm, chronic pain, stress management, and interpersonal effectiveness. She has trained and worked in residential, inpatient and outpatient settings.
Prior to joining DASC, Dr. Stebbins served as Program Manager at Insight Behavioral Health Centers where she supervised a team of staff who provide outpatient services. In addition to providing supervision to her team, she worked with patients and provided direct therapeutic services.
